HI CHRIS,
USUALLY MARLITE IS COVERING THE drywall FOR PROTECTION FROM WATER. I CAN'T SAY THIS IS THE CASE FOR YOU BUT I'VE NEVER SEEN A WALL BUILT OUT OF THIS. NORMALLY IT'S ONLY ABOUT 1/8" THICK AND GLUED TO THE WALLBOARD. IF THIS IS THE CASE WITH YOU, YOU'LL BE ABLE TO REMOVE IT BUT IT MAY TEAR UP THE drywall A LITTLE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I'M WRONG AND YOU ACTUALLY HAVE MARLITE WALLS. I'M ALWAYS WILLING TO LEARN SOMETHING NEW.
