Yes, I would definately tint the primer with the color of the finish coat. I would also add flotrol to the paint due to the chalking. I would also lightly power wash the brick first.

I would add one coat of primer and two of finish coat. I would use Sherwin William's exterior latex A-100 paint. This is the best vescosity for a spray rig. Super Paint is too thick.
