York furnace issue

My York furnace is about 10 years old. In the last two months I had the the following problem

- I hear click/bonk which is normal
- Thru vents in the (upper) cover plate,
I can see a flame in one small area
- the flame stays on for 2-3 seconds and
then furnac shuts itself off

- the whole cycle repeats and sometime after
4-5 times, the initial flame remains longer and
ignite burners.

This has happened to me three times that I noticed. I am not furnace expert and I am trying to diagnose the issue so when I call the service, I will not be mislead by someone.

My initial feeling is that gas vavle (if one exists) may need to be replaced. Igniter seems to be fine. Not sure what else ....

Any ideas ????
