As a prank two girls sprayed my son's 2002 black Honda with shaving cream. This did IN DEED hurt the paint. At first we thought that the alcohol in the shaving cream just took out all the oil in the wax. I took the car to the Honda dealer ship and they washed it with a chemical that removes the old wax and then waxed the car with new wax for a cost of $190. In the morning when there is dew on the car I can still see the etched writing in the paint. The Honda dealer ship is going to try buffing the car next for a cost o $390. If you want further confirmation call an insurance company as they process claims pertaining to shaving cream on cars after Halloween as well as look at the ingredients in shaving cream.
