Ask specific questions:

How long have you been resurfacing?
Are you licensed?
What type of product are you using?
How long is the warranty?
What is the price? (Ranges between $200.00 and $400.00)
Do you acid etch the surface? (If porcelain)
Do you bother to sand the original surface?
Do you clean the original surface of any foreign matter?
Do I have to pay for the work directly after it's finished or will you bill me? (This is important because once you have paid them many companies won't return to fix runs or grit in the surface they have sprayed. You'll want to be satisfied with their work before you pay them.)
Is there a "Trip Charge"?
What are the additional charges for repairs?
How long will I need to stay out of my house or apartment?
How long before the bathtub can be used?
Is there an "Occupied Unit Fee"?

Call them to ask these questions, then ask to have a brochure or price list sent to you.

If the information is presented in an organized, professional manner then ask the company to come out and give you an estimate on the work. Once they arrive, judge for yourself how professional they are.
