Hi Melissa, (just for fun) maybe someone has some old tools that you could use to fill it.
Okay, all kidding aside, I don't know too much about culverts but I would imagine that you
would want to fill the area between the two with a layer of gravel to minimize any erosion
that could happen during high water flows. I did some searching and really couldn't find
any info on the construction methods, however, I did find this link Grand Ronde.
If you'll look at the before and after pictures I think that you'll get an idea of what
could happen without some kind of preventative action being taken to prevent erosion. But
like I stated above, II really don't know much about culverts, heck
I'm just a city boy who wished he lived in the country.
