more a stain than paint, but it has the attributes of both. It does a better job on bare cedar wood I am only told.

I could not tell you how long the color and protection will last, that depends on so many other factors.

I feel that any paint needs recoating every 7 to 10 years anyway. I am sure this is the same with woodscapes.

If you roll, brush, spray some of this on a bare piece of wood, you will see what it does. The penetration is unbelievable.
