I have a house dating from 1847 and have made replica storm windows using the windowmaking router bit set from Jesada and a Robland multipurpose machine. It is work -- especially all the effort following the simple milling of the wood -- and not inexpensive, but aethetically pleasing and functional. See for a nice description (I found after the fact) for the details of the design.
