Wood Garage Floor

I purchased a house with a basement and above the basement is my garage. The appraiser said that the floor was supported by 2 wood beams (look like casings, but not sure if metal inside)in a vertical direction and 4x4 horizontal beams spaced so many inches apart. I was told that the floor was built in 1960 and strong enough to hold an army tank. My concern is the floor getting wet when I park my car in the garage during rain/snow. There are a few oil stains and there seems to be no way I can treat it so that it doesn't have any more damage. It was suggested to me to put new treated wood on top of the floor and just make sure it is treated every year. Can anyone else offer any suggestions?? Jay J I see you have great suggestions, what do you think?
