wood floor finsihing

Posted by Bob Bean on January 7th, 2000 07:12 AM

I have wood floors made of old barn boards sanded, and refinished to there natural color. Hand waxed with Butchers paste wax and machine buffed.Waxed buffed and rewaxed over a period of time. My problem is that some boards are now showing wear back to the original board, even taking the natural stain off. These boards should be redone but I don't now what to do about the wax build up that I think is there. These boards need to be redone and I don't have any input as to where to begin. I live in northern N>H.and no stores or people are able to tell me how to fix my problem as to stripping the boards of wax safely and refinishing them without hurting the floors. Any help you can give me would be appreciated as to what to use and how.
