wood/coal combination addon to existing heating system

Posted by Jerry Drogan on October 27th, 2000 08:34 PM

I have a New Yorker residential furnace that is hot water circulated through radiators. I would like to addon a wood/coal combination to this existing system. Here are some specifics:
boiler model AP-590 (1993) single zone
DOE heat capacity 107,000 BTU fuel oil (now)
net output 93,000 BTU
The unit also has a domestic hot water jacket. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. I live in Northeast Pa. Thank you.
