Wood Cleaning

Posted by Pat Whelan on December 29th, 1997 12:21 PM

I have a large amount of kitchen cabinets that are made of oak and stained very dark. They are basically in good condition (20 yrs. old).
I would like to clean "de-grease" them and touch them up in the worn spots. I do not want a high gloss look, but more of a matt finish.
Could you please advise me of what solution I would use to clean them. I do not want to take off the stain color, just really clean them up.
Also, please advise me of your opinion of "re-glazing" bathroom tubs, tiles and formica kitchen tops. Thank you.
