wiring in bathroom

Posted by Josephine on December 2nd, 2002 04:26 PM

Here is the situation..... we replaced the light fixture in our bathroom and now the on/off switch on the wall doesn't work. The light has a manual pull that turns it on, does this override the on/off switch? I was under the impression that we could merely leave the pull switch on and use the wall switch to turn the light on and off, but I was wrong. Any suggestions to make this work or should we just use the pull switch and replace the wall switch with a blank face plate? Any suggestions please1
