about the only option to you is to wire it externally. you will need to mount a box solidly to a ceiling joist using a stud finder to locate one. go to home depot or loews and buy the plastic or metal rectangular channels that come in white and maybe other colors to rounte/hide your wiring up the wall and across the ceiling to the box for your fan down to a another surface mount box on the wall for a light switch to control power to the fan. additionally you will need to use this suface mount channel stuff to route wires down to a nearby electrical outlet to get you power for the fan. hope this helps. LJ another options i suppose foe getting wiring and power to you fan is a swag chain with a inline rotary switch and plug the wire/swag chain into an outlet.
