If the tracks are painted try and scrape the paint off to the wood. Then, or if they are not painted, lubricate them I grate parrafin wax ,like is used in home food canning , into a can with paint thinner and give it a day to dissolve (cover it ). Using a cheap paintbrush I liberally coat the wooden tracks of the window.
