In reply to Help Henry! - Replacement Windows by Dennis in MI on September 13th, 1999 08:12 PM [Go to top of thread]

Hi, Dennis. All I can say for sure is that H*****s installs a lot in our sub. I would sure look at the name brands like Pella and also get prices on the local brands. We still have the original aluminum in our 35 year old house and I know that I should probably replace them soon. Our daughter wants to replace the ones in her 150 year old farmhouse with wood ones again. All of their doors and windows are original and made with through mortices and wavey glass, so there is something to be said for that. You can get some good ideas on the national brands with a search on the web. One of the other posters lives way out west and just had some installed and she was pretty happy with them but I don't remember the company. Try to find out for you.

Good luck.
