Window Well Too Low

Posted by Ron on October 18th, 2000 07:39 AM

One Window Well on this house is much lower than the others - and after some minor excavation, does not appear to be attached to the foundation. Water has been seeping into the well along with dirt and other debris. To match the other wells on the house, this one needs to be extended on top another 8". In my opinion, I need to excavate this one, raise it to the proper level, or replace it with one that is the correct height and attach it to the foundation. Is this a major job? How far below the window does the well need to extend? (there is a drain in the center of the well by the window). Where can I find info on how to aproach this? If this job is too big, what sort of service can do this type of repair? Thanks for the advice! Ron
