I have a 50 year old home. I am replacing the windows in the back of the house with new construction Andersen Windows, however in the front of the house, which is brick I am doing a sash replacement only window from Marvin. My contractor suggested this since I have interior wood shutters that I have invested $2000.00 in and want to keep. These will be double hung. First, are double hung "old style" look and would casement windows make the home look "newer". Does anyone make a casement replacement window? I was told that I could not do this. Also, will this sash only replacement even look like I got new windows from the outside? I want to update the look of the house. Thank you for your help and advise.
