We just purchased a home. The weather has gotten cold recently, and condensation if forming on the inside of most of our windows. They are doublepane and some have broken seals, but the moisture is not only between the panes but inside too. One particular night it was really bad. I had a glass man come & he ckd the humidity in the house and it was 89. Please note that the night before, I had built a fire in our fireplace insert. We have been building fires since the weather has gotten colder (about 2 or 3 a week). When we take baths or showers, we crack the windows. We also live in a one level home with a crawl space. There is a corner down there that is a little damp, but not too bad. What do you think is causing the humidity level to go up and the condensation on the inside of the windows?
