Hi, Chrys. Your painted wicker probably isn't wicker. Real wicker furniture is kind of rare. Most "wicker" is really rolled up paper. Since it is probably paper, that will absorb any stripper and ruin the chair. Even if it is real wicker, it is almost impossible to strip. Your best option is just to spray on another coat or 2 of paint. It's almost impossible to sand also, so don't worry about it. Probably an acryllic like Krylon spray will be about your best bet.
