Thanks for your reply, Steve. Another question for you - the entire house is constructed of cedar which has not been treated or sealed. Roof is VERY steep pitch of metal sheeting. Temperatures at the house have been extremely hot this summer - very unusual - the house seems to make more cracking noises than I have noticed before. Any thoughts on the heat buildup under that metal roof and the unsealed cedar? Do you think that might be a problem to watch?
