Glad to hear things are back to "normal". We were all wondering.
ELECTRICITY IS YOUR FRIEND. Don't hate it. Understand it, and respect it. Perhaps a book or 2 on home wiring from the library would help.
I'm assuming the Electric Company did or had an inspection done, and has given the green light to utilize the power in the house.
