I've read this post several times, but I'm still having problems in a couple of areas. This first started after you applied the prep coating S/W suggested. We really need to know what this was so we can determine what it did to the walls. I just got though taking some wall paper down in a bathroom while in K.C.that did the same thing. I have no idea why it happened. All I did was skim coat the ridges with drywall mud and sand. Didn't take long. The other area in the letter that confused me is,after appling the Prep-Rite 400 and the base coat, the tape did not pull off the paint. If you are painting stripes, your tape would remain on the base coat. Did it pull off the base coat or the stripe? Remember ,the tape did not pull off the base before the stripes were added. Tell us also what base coat you are using. One more question, is the paint only peeling where the paper was below the chair rail, or is it peeling everywhere? Post back, Ron J.
