... See if the recommended 'tool' is listed in the instructions. Usually, for DIY Instructions (and for most other instructions), recommended/necessary tools are stated in the Installation Instructions. It's not a simple 'matter' of using any nailer. Different thickness and material don't take readily to just any nailer. Sure, you can use any nailer but you may even need an adapter. IF you use just any nailer, test to see if it damages the finish.

At worst, contact the mfgr. If you don't follow the recommended installation procedures, you will VOID the warranty (even for a DIY floor.) My best to ya and hope this helps.
