Hello to all. I have recently learned about pre-fab houses. My business advisor introduced me to the concept and since viewing his presentation, I feel that it is too good to be true. I live in NJ and to get the type of pre-existing house like the pre-fab house he showed me in the brochure, I would have to spend close to $300,000. I can get this pre-fab house for roughly $70,000, plus the land estimated at $100,000, plus the contractor to complete the finishing touches estimated at $25,000. This totals $195,000 for a house that should cost $300,000. Am I missing something? Would I have to sacrife quality for cost? Please, any help would be greatly appreciated. I want to know what I should look for so that this investment will not flop. My business advisor did state that the builder uses grade A building material. I have no idea what that means.
