What's the best way to fill expansion joints in concrete?

Finishing a basement that has a poured concrete floor with expansion joints (the 'usual' size of approx. 3/4" wide x 3/4" deep, in a "V" or "U" shape).

As I get ready to put in the flooring, I'm wondering what the best method/material is to fill these expansion joints. The concrete is smooth, moisture-free, and level, so I'm just trying to avoid having these joints show-through on my carpet.

Thanks in advance for any help.
