Wet Vac Works Fine ...

Unless, that is, you're trying to suck out the sludge at the sewer tap. Hose or power-wash the sludge from the wet vac if you let it harden. It's not a problem.

bc - You didn't mis-read Van's post now, did you? He's not looking to 'clean out' a septic tank or anything with my wet vac! If Van has to unclog his bathroom from OUTSIDE the house whilst using an auger, I've got to figure that there's a body stuffed down there. Then in this case, I wouldn't loan him my wet vac. Maybe, if the pipe is wide enough, you can reach down the 3' and pull the plug out for him (so I don't have to loan out my wet vac?) I'd be more inclined to agree w/ya if the clog was a bit further down, like where tree roots would be a problem, or a collapsed sewer line. This clog sounds awfully shallow ...
