Wet the paper

With prepasted wallpaper, it's not as easy as 'lick and stick'. You have to sufficiently wet the back of the wallpaper (by immersing it in water - use a wallpaper tray (you can get a cheap one for about $10 & it comes with other tools you need.)) and then you should 'book' it (i.e. fold it over on itself to let the glue get sticky) before hanging it - this also helps you kepp from getting covered in glue.
