My house landscaping has a feature that allows the elevation of the lawn to drop about 4 feet across 1 foot. It does this through the huge of giant boulders stacked on top of each other, filled with dirt. The lawn sinks around the base of the boulders (of course), as the house is abpout 5 years new.
When it rains, the little corner where this feature happens is right above where I see moisture coming through the cement foundation walls in the basement.
Can I assume the best treatment would be to shore up the lawn around the boulders so it slopes away from the house in all directions? Would applying sealer to the basement wall do any good?
