Does anyone know if Wenge wood is particulary prone to water staining? I'm in search of a coffee table and found a beautiful one in wenge wood. But it's pricy and I'm really nervous about water stains. Of course I'll always provide coasters, but we all have friends who sit the beer bottle right on the table when you're not looking. Before I buy this, I'm trying to figure out how much of a risk am I taking. (I have a teak table that's definitely seen better days and I'd like to avoid that.)
I imagine all wood comes with this risk, but I've been having trouble finding out just how hard 'wenge' is and if I should be wary of it.
Any help would be *much* appreciated! Regards, -glenn
