Jerry, the metal bead is good for this area and this application. Make sure you use the proper fasteners. They take alot of mud and will dress out great.


If this was my tub and situation, I would use a nice corner piece of wooden molding that would be easier to install and would not break if you hit it just right like the plaster will on the metal bead.

You could prime and paint this trim and it would be a nice feature of your tub area. Be sure to properly caulk this wood and prepare it for water contact.
