there's water tracks everywhere. I had replaced the shower about a year ago. It had this wierd concrete shower pan setting on a lead liner that had deteriorated and had leaked like a sieve for some time (we've been in the house for about 2 years). The subfloor was rotten etc...etc. Of course, I am absolutely certain that nothing I did could have caused this leak when I was doing the shower...LOL, but I'll soon be crying if I did. Your point about the leak traveling is a good one too and sure seems possible. I was planning on redoing the bath on the other side of the wall soon anyway so I'll open up the wall to check the fittings. I'll also start checking other places where the water could have come from.
