You do not want to scar or scrape the pine walls first, so this means the wallpaper tiger is out, putty scrapers are out, but if careful they will assist you.

I would concentrate on just coating and absorbing into the paper as much water as possible. The more water into the paper, the easier it will come off. chemicals might do harm to the wood below.

I would get a mister and mix half vinegar and half water. spend alot of time just spraying on the stuff and waiting and spraying on more.

once you get an area ready to release, start slowly pulling and spraying more stuff under the flap as you go.

Keep the entire area just coated with water mixture.

It will clean off, but will take alot of patience and time.
