I live in Dallas, Texas and I know first hand about the drought and the foundations movements and I just spend around $25K on my foundation.

The foundation movement can be minimized by your periodic foundation maintenance. I do not see where the government is responsible for your foundation shifting.

You need to worry about how YOU can fix the problem and let the government do their job.

Get a soaker hose and position all around your home one foot away from the actual foundation. Water the foundation as a whole or at the same time so that one side does not get too much water or more than the other side.

do this for four to five hours once a week during this drought. This will take along time to begin workings since it sounds like you have never done it before.
