of negligence...let me bend your ear...I talked above about my roof sagging. Its only a year and a half old. I think its the structure of the dormer the alchoholic son of hte former owners put in, but it could be a bad roofing job from a local roofing company. Neither party took out permits for their work! anyhoo, before this latest bout of snowfall, the roof was not sagging much--almost imperceptibly. but our inspector said 'roofs often sag on older houses.' as i say above, my mom (who used to inspect shingle-claims for georgia pacific) fell over when i told her that. wish she would've been here when we thought about buying the house. anyway, the inspector's report does not the roof sags, but doesn't note the reason he gave us, apparently a lame one. so--he can't be held negligent, can he, since there is no documentation about what he said to us & how he made it seem like no big deal?
