We had a water problem, so we gutted the basement and had a drain tile/sump pump in. I have block and slab to work with. I know that I need to remove some of the slab to install the drain for the shower.
My question is this - is it easier (and better) to simply frame up the concrete for a basin when we replace what we rip out, or is there a prefab base that we can put in?
We are going to tile the shower (floor, walls) so I do not think that I can use a fiberglass base (or can I?). Thanks in advance.
