We have just put an offer on a sweet, old house built in 1925 in the beautiful, Historic, North Everett in Washington State. The house is about 1358 square feet and has aspestos siding. My husband is worried that it may be a health hazard to live there, should it become airborn some how, and if we'd ever like to build on to the house, he's worried that it would be very dangerous and expensive to get rid of. What are some tips we should keep in mind before buying this house? Is it very dangerous and difficult to build onto a house with this type of siding? What about the interior walls, same deal?
I love this house, I love the community, and it has so many possibilities, I would hate to see it past over because of this old building material.
