so, would you use 240 watt light buld in a room for general lighting?? 4 25's same as using a 100 watt bulb. 4 forty's same as 160 watt bulb. i belkieve that reddington lamp sockets are rated for 60 watt max per socket, but no need to use 4 60 watt bulbs and then dim to same as 4 25 watt bulbs. that is the same as driving your gar in low gear all the time, it is very hard on the hardware. MOH
