I have read your response to basement waterproofing from 1998 and am wondering if the best way to water proof my basement is still the interior excavating of concrete, drilling of weep holes and installing a french drain and sump pumps? Are there any new proven methods on the market? And, how do I insure that the foundation is put back right? Also, you mentioned something about being able to install pvc because you drill your weep holes low enough. Is this in liu of the french drain? In any case, do you install either at a 1 inch per 10 foot drop? Thanks for your help.
