Waterproofing a Steam Shower

I am building a steam shower and have been told to make sure the shower area is waterproof. I was told by the Tile Council of America that plastic sheeting behind Duroc cementboard was not adequate for waterproofing, and that the material to be used must satisfy the requirements in ANSI A108/ANSI A118/136 Specifications for Installation of Ceramic Tile. Can you suggest a product that I can use that meets this standard? Would it be available at local home improvement centers or plumbing supply houses? I live in the Baltimore area. Any help you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Very Much
