I just spent weeks, sanding, prepping, staining, and finally shellacing my kitchen cabinets. They looked beautiful for the first few moments of glory, but then water got on my new counter...and the dishwasher heat vent steamed on another part. In no time, parts of my perfect finishing job became spotted, white, and unsightly. HELP! Is there a waterproof (and maybe heatproof) finish that is compatible with shellac? I hope there is something that I can just slather over the shellac job to save it. Can you please recommend something?
