Our pump seems to run too long. It takes two minutes to get to 50 from 40 and then another 3 or so minutes to get to 60 and then doesn't want to shut off.

We drained the tank and re-pressurized per tank instructions and replaced the pressure switch, but still it happens. The pump goes on at about the 8-gallon draw-down.

The pump finally shuts off after another three or so minutes on the 60 mark.

We finally adjusted the on/off switch to 50 at the top and now it is working, but it still runs too long.

We have a submersible pump that is about 10 years old.

Any suggestions are appreciated. We have had a pretty good well man in the past but we don't have a lot of confidence in the people he sends out now.
