Hi, Glenn. The ability to protect against water staining is more a function of the finish than the wood. Most teak in interior use is given an oiled finish which provides absolutely, positively NO protection against water/water vapor. The same teak, used on a boat and finished with spar varnish, would not have a problem with water. I don't have any specific experience with wenge but I believe that the above would hold true with it also.
