In reply to water softner problems by Clint Warwick on June 7th, 2001 12:18 PM [Go to top of thread]

I work for a large homebuilder in Indianapolis In, I have a great homeowner that has a problem that we cannot answer. The homeowner is stating that there is pinkish stain in the toilets and in the tank. I have never heard of any "pinkish type materials" ever to get into a home. We have had the water softener manufacture out, Plumber, and I have personally looked at. I am LOST!! Help. I have seen a water softener hooked up backwards and little beads get into home but this pinkish water is every 4-6months upon occurences. I have also turned the softening level down from 27 to 16-1/2. Any input would be great

Thanks alot
