water seeping thru basement walls

Nothing is going to stop the water from seeping in
until you find out what the problem is. Do you have a sump pump? Is your grading pitched towards your house? Do you have inadequete rain gutters that dont carry the water away from the house? The downspouts should be far enough away from your house so that the water doesnt sit around the foundation. Those water blocking paints do not work-- don't waste your money. Try the other suggestions first. Look at your landscaping, is it trapping water beside your house? Many people make the mistake of using railroad ties or some other big objects to hold the decorative stone in around the house, which in return, doesnt allow the water to drain.
