Linda - Back in the 90's I was a brewmaster in Texas. We used a tankless water heater in our brewery with great success. We did a few mods to make it higher capacity and temperatures. It did require service though. The heat exchanger coils become fouled by precipitates in the water. In our case, we had water with a high "lime" content. I did an acid circulation about every two weeks. Granted I was heating about 2000 gallons a day to 180+ degrees. If you live in a soft water area, I would not expect too many problems. I think the name of the company was Five Star - and they had a great customer support center. Hope this helps.
