I intend to install a shock absorber for the following situation:
The en-suite shower on the third floor bedroom is subject to pipe banging at certain times during the daily use.
This can only be alleviated by turning on the tap at the wash hand basin during the shower.
Question: (1)Will the installation of a shock absorber aft of the mains in the basement alleviate the problem?
(2) Do I need (2) shock absorbers, one for a cold line and one for the hot line?
The shower is finished tile and relatively new and I don't want to destroy the tiles in oreder to get to the pipes.
The only visible lines are in the basement of the house.
Can you please give me the necessary advice?
Thank you
