A Furnace: Lennox G20Q5/GE 150 1 Ser # 5890K15892 w/ Aprilaire 550 Humidifier. Had a problem with fan. Tech replaced fan motor, fan and cage. When called on the Aprilaire would not work. Replaced humidastat and celonoid valve and still would not work. Called PSEG who installed new fan etc. who opened furnace and found wiring for Aprilaire was connected to a device which was not connected to anything on the furnace. Tech by-passed device and unit went on. PROBLEM: Aprilaire suppose to shut down water flow when heating unit is not active but does not. Is the device next to fan cage which was disconnected a sensor which is responsible for controlling the water flow? If so, what is this device and where should it be connected? Thank You - Anthony Davino
