My refrigerator water line leaked, going unnoticed because it stayed in the lowest part of floor, the water went under the 3/4 in. hickory wood and under the carpet in the other room. We dryed the carpet out by cutting it and removing the pad which was like a sponge. The problem is the water stayed under the wood floor and now the floor has these rough ridges on the top. I was told it would dry out. I think it will have to be sanded and refinished in these spots which are a 6/8 ft area. It seams to me that the floor would not have to be removed, just sanded and refinished. I have been trying to contact the man that refinished my floor just last Sept.(can't contact him- maybe on vacation) If you have any ideas, please send them to me Thank you---I may have to inquire about this with another company as I can't contact the man that did it.
