I assume you have a cement floor? The best choice would be to apply epoxy paint to the cement floor, and then use some throw rugs. Or even get the imitation orientals which run about $50 for a 5x8 rug.

Water is not friendly to any type of flooring. It will ruin almost anything. At least with my solution, if you get water on the floor, the rugs can be removed, washed, dryed, and reused.

With most other solutions, water will ruin the floor.
